Rian Cult is an American based artist, producer and singer-songwriter. Growing up in a small city in Romania, he was influenced by mostly British and Romanian artists, ranging all the way from Rock to 80’s funk and soul. Phil Collins, Peter Gabriel, The Police, U2 and Lionel Richie to name a few of the influences that shaped Rian’s perspective of his future songs. After being highly influenced by names like LAUV, Ed Sheeran, Julia Michaels, Bazzi and Benny Blanco, his productions and songwriting took up a more Pop style. He began recording demos and songs with artists in the Boston area like Tristan Simone, ABRAM, KASTELO etc, to name a few, with songs managing to gather close to 1 million streams.
He has played drums for and with big names in Romania such as Nicu Patoi (Platonic Band), Adrian Ciuplea (“Vita de Vie”), Mihai Ardelean, Florin Giuglea, Simona Nae etc, and has built a reputation as a drummer and musical director.
Having graduated from Berklee College of Music with a bachelor’s in Contemporary Writing and Production, Rian Cult is now writing songs for himself as an artist but also producing and recording for other people.
